Windows8.1 non si avvia più - cpighin - 12/06/2020

Ciao,

ho un Asus-S551LN che nel 2016 ho configurato in dualboot con Windows8.1 e Ubuntu18.04. Tranne rarissime occasioni, utilizzo Ubuntu.
Alcune settimane fa è accaduto qualcosa che non consente più l'avvio di Windows.
Con l'aiuto di un amico molto più esperto di me, ho fatto vari tentativi di risolvere il problema (SuperGrub, boot-repair-disk, avvio in modalità UEFI, ecc.) evitando di  reinstallare il SO, ma non sono riuscito ad avviarlo.
Col penultimo tentativo (boot-repair-disk) è stato prodotto un report al seguente URL: http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/S65nck57Xv/ che potrebbe essere utile ai più esperti per aiutarmi.
Con l'ultimo tentativo, ho provato a far partire Windows dal Grub menu  in modalità “Windows boot manager (on /dev/sda1)”, è partita la funzione Preparazione del ripristino, ho seguito i passi > Risoluzione dei problemi > Opzioni avanzate > Account > Password > Diagnostica del PC in corso  ed il processo si è concluso con il messaggio “Impossibile ripristinare il tuo PC” informando anche che aveva prodotto il file: ...\WINDOWS\System32\logfiles\srt\srtTrial.txt.
Ho avviato Ubuntu, per leggere il file log, poche righe di testo, che conteneva l’indicazione : “Impossibile trovare un disco rigido. Se è presente, non risponde.”

Potete aiutarmi ?

C'è qualcosa che non torna,  tu scrivi  che tra i vari tentativi hai fatto :

Ma io vedo dal log di Boot Repair che tu hai fatto il Boot in Legacy mentre i sistemi operativi sono installati in Uefi, c'è la partizione EFI.

per me significa che hanno tentato la riparazione di un sistema UEFI con uno strumento predisposto alla riparzazione di sistemi legacy;

cerca di accedere almeno al prompt di comando di windows e digita
sfc /scannow
è un comando che serve e riparare i file di sistema se ce ne sono di danneggiati

Grazie della risposta BAT.

Ho eseguito quanto richiesto ed ho fatto un controllo come segue, premettendo che cercherò di dettagliare quanto fatto per mia memoria..

Ho acceduto al Prompt di Windows partendo dal Grub menu > Windows UEFI boot loader; si è avviato il servizio Preparing automatic Repair, ho seguito il percorso Risoluzione dei Problemi > Opzioni avanzate > Controllo Account > Promp dei comandi e il sistema ha presentato il Prompt di Windows.

Ho digitato il comando sfc /scannow ed il sistema ha lavorato un paio di minuti per analizzare il sistema. Al termine ha fornito l’informazione

Ho anche verificato se windows si avviava col percorso  Grub menu > Windows UEFI boot loader >  Preparing automatic Repair > Continua > Risoluzione dei Problemi > Opzioni avanzate > Controllo Account > ed il sistema ha iniziato un’attività di diagnostica ed il processo si è concluso con il messaggio “Impossibile ripristinare il tuo PC” informando anche che aveva prodotto il file: \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolume4\WINDOWS\System32\logfiles\srt\srtTrial.txt con il testo seguente:

Sempre da Prompt da Console di Ripristino puoi provare a riparare l'avvio di Windows 8.1, qua trovi la procedura sia per Mbr che per Uefi (il tuo caso) valida per  Windows 8.1 e 10.

Dagli errori riportati nel log sembra che tu abbia un problema di aggiornamento o conflitto con programma in avvio. 

Se dovesse andare a buon fine e Windows si avvia allora sovrascriverai il Grub e dovrai reinstallarlo ma è meno problematico che riparare l'avvio di Windows.

Puoi anche provare sempre da Prompt un checkdisk per riparare i file:

Ho seguito la tua guida e ho controllato se il disco fisso in uso utilizza MBR o GPT: coi tuoi comandi ho trovato un'asterisco in corrispondenza della colonna GPT! La dimensione di 931 Gbytes del disco mi è sembrata errata (il mio disco fisso ha una capaità di 500 GB), ma ho proseguito tentando (per la seconda volta) di riparare il boot loader EFI.

Ho seguito la stessa procedura riportata nel messaggio precedente e il processo si è concluso con il solito messaggio “Impossibile ripristinare il tuo PC” informando anche che aveva salvato il file: \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolume4\WINDOWS\System32\logfiles\srt\srtTrial.txt il cui testo, verificato tramite Ubuntu, è risultato identico a quello riportato nel mio precedente post. 012 

Voglio essere prudente e chiedo consiglio su come procedere ulteriormente.

Dici che ti dà lo stesso risultato di sopra ma non è possibile perché io non ti ho detto di fare quelle procedure. .....segui la parte che ho evidenziato. 


Hai provato il checkdisk da Prompt come suggerito sopra?

Ho iniziato a seguire la parte della guida "Ripristinare l'avvio di Windows sulle macchine UEFI" ed ho dato i comandi

dato che mi pare ci sia qualcosa da valutare attentamente (la partizione C formattata RAW mi insospettisce e quella senza lettera da 100 MB è forse quella su cui operare?), mi sono fermato in attesa di consigli autorevoli.

Non ho ancora eseguito il checkdisk da Prompt 041

Mmmmmm quando una Partizione viene letta come RAW significa che ci sono errori e settori danneggiati e quindi è illeggibile, ecco dov'è l'inghippo,    041  come suggerito in un Post sopra posta una schermata da Gparted tramite Ubuntu così facciamo un confronto, ci sarebbe un modo per tentare di riparare attraverso TestDisk, una utility contenuta in Parted Magic.....
